Status update:

Beginning in 2007 Weatherly Aircraft endured a withering hostile takeover that persisted until 2015 when its owner successfully fought off the hoard and won a resounding and absolute court victory.  The fight was enormously expensive and caused interruption of aircraft production.

Weatherly relocated to Wichita, Kansas in 2016 to begin preparation to resume production.  With the relocation, which provides access to a large pool of skilled aircraft manpower and fabrication suppliers, the Company is implementing a new steady-state production line to smooth direct costs, to improve quality to even higher standards, and migrate certain airframe materials to composites.

Recently a flight-line facility was identified in Newton, Kansas to resume production in 2019.
